We have been funded by the NIH to research the Vocational Fit Assessment (VFA), and we are looking for participants.

The VFA was developed to provide accurate, person-centered measures of work-related interests and adaptive behaviors. To be eligible to participate in this research, participants must be an adult (age 18-26) with mild to moderate intellectual disability (who has independent guardianship) in transition to employment and has a proxy reporter (e.g., teacher, parent, job coach, employer) that has supported the participant for in their respective setting for at least one year.

Participants will be asked to complete 3 semi-structured interviews with their proxy reporter and the researcher over the course of a year. Each interview which should take approximately 2 hours to complete. Questions will be given to participant dyads two weeks before to allow more time for reading and preparation. At the end of the semi-structured interview, each participant should expect to receive $40.
